In the rhythm of the mountains
At 2,000 metres, the Madone de Fenestre sanctuary lives by the rhythm of the seasons. In spring, the flocks head up to the alpine pastures; in autumn, they return to the valleys. In between, summer belongs to hikers, pilgrims and curious wanderers who have made the journey here.
The Hôtel des Pèlerins is a carefully restored historic building that opens its rooms and dormitories to those who wish to linger. The food is generous and deeply tied to the surrounding farms and valleys — and there is the rare peace of a place only accessible on foot.
